Maturing musician, currently performing throughout Scotland with the Whigmaleerie Ceilidh Dance Band (www.scots-ceilidh.co.uk). Have previously worked as solo act, compere, and band musician in the folk idiom; also played in pop/rock and cover bands.I play Martin D45 & D18 accoustic guitars; Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster Nashville Deluxe, Gibson Les Paul "Black Beauty" electric guitars; Ibanez accoustic bass; Yamaha and Casio Keyboards; and various othe "accoustic" stringed instruments - needless to say - never at the same time, except on recordings!Ran folk clubs in Germany and UK, arranged tours for many major folk "stars" in the 1970s and 1980s, and in this century "The Rant Festival" in Banff, Aberdeenshire.I have worked with many of the "friends" on this My Space site and I thank them for their friendship, inspiration and encouragement through the years.For those who continue to grow old gracefully ........ there are still a few more songs and tunes in us yet!My musical collaborators of the past who have recently died are fondly remembered especially, Robbie Fowler and "Rick Rickard" - thank you for the journey we walked and played together.I hope you enjoy this wee page, drop me a line to catch up or introduce yourself.
