About Me

In my lifetime I have shook (shaken? whatever) hands with several of my most favorite musical icons: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ron Wood, Charlie Watts, Phil Lesh, Derek Trucks, Jaimoe, Chris & Rich Robinson and Marc Ford, to name a few, and came this close to catching a high five from Bono, until the human sea of Mellon Arena crashed around us...I like good live music, containing a tremendous amount of slide guitar work...with at least two guitars going at the same time...backed by a solid section of drums and percussion...melted in with a smooth supply of horns...and peppered with a smidgen of harmonica...all smushed inside of songs that can last upwards of fifteen minutes...or longer...I like to put a quarter in the jukebox and play "Mountain Jam" from Eat A Peach, and watch people ask each other about 10 minutes in, 'Isn't this song over yet???' Little do they know it's just the beginning...I ride a 1997 Gary Fisher Joshua mountain bike through the streets and paths of the Valley...securing that Wheeling Feeling while rockin' sounds beat through the iPod in time with the pedals...all the while trying to avoid senior citizens who like to knock me over with their driver's side doors... I like Maypo...I never met a pie I didn't like...I drink oceans of bottled water on a daily basis...Yuengling Light Lager is a mighty fine adult beverage...I can eat piles upon piles of broccoli and carrots, covered in heaping helpings of various flavors of dip...skim milk...and oh yeah: slaughtered animals are not part of my daily dietary regimen. My Interests

It's all about The Black and Gold: Steelers Nation, baby. I am a very fortunate man, as I enjoy season tickets to my favorite team. There's no place I'd rather be than Heinz Field.Black low top Converse Chuck Taylors surround my two feet quite nicely (size 9 1/2, of course)...those shoes were made for hiking, biking, walking, concerts, concerts and more concerts. Oh - and did I mention I LOVE live music? Yeah, mmm hmm. I dig snow skiing, too.

Music:

The Black Crowes, The New Earth Mud, The Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Rolling Stones and any family related acts to those bands. I also try to support local music as much as possible.

Movies:

Boogie Nights is the greatest non-adult film ever made. Fast Times at Ridgemont High is a close second.

Television:

I do not watch television. If it wasn't for the NFL, I wouldn't even own one.

Books:

Phil Lesh's "Searching for the Sound." Autographed copy, of course.

Heroes:

Howard Stern, Mick Jagger, Chris Robinson, Phil Lesh, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Mark Wahlberg.
