What do you get when you put two of LA’s most talented and beautiful Mid-West girls together? You get Molly and Amanda, southern CA’s hottest new country duo. These dynamic girls are taking southern CA by storm and are on a mission to prove they are the real deal.
With competition in their blood, these girls know exactly what it takes to make a mark in this business. For nearly 3 years, Molly and Amanda fiercely competed in one of LA's hottest country music competitions before joining efforts in late 2007. In the short time they have been a duo, Molly and Amanda have auditioned for two of televisions most highly regarded reality shows, CMT's "Can You Duet" and NBC's, "Nashville Star." The girls soared passed thousands of auditioners in both competitions to be among the final competitors vying for the chance to be country music's newest duo!
These talented girls may currently be living the fast life in LA, but they certainly have not forgotten where they come from. “We are both fortunate to have grown up in warm and supportive communities,"Molly says. "Growing up in the Midwest has really grounded us. No matter where we are, we will always call Minnesota and Oklahoma our home.â€
Molly Rocklind is a 3 Time Grand Finalist in the highly regarded, WE FEST Country Music Singing Competition where she outperformed nearly 25,000 singers to hold such a title. Molly has written and performed for the legendary Stevie Wonder and was named one of the Top Emerging Country Artists from the Midwest" in 2005. She has performed on the famous Carnegie Hall stage and most recently collaborated with Universal Music Group and Ukrainian Records as a guest judge for their hit reality show, “American Chance.†Molly was raised in a Baptist family, surrounded by the beauty of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. She took her strong country roots to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue her music career and it has been quite a journey every since. Molly says, "It's always been about chasing my dreams. That's what I was born to do.
Amanda Martindale spent her musical childhood in the plains of Oklahoma. She was born with music playing in her ears from the minute she was conceived. Starting her career at a young age in her church and school, Amanda continues to pursue her passion today for the performing arts in various capacities. Prior to moving to Los Angeles in 2002, Amanda has trained with the late Broadway Star, Tamara Long, participated in various talent competitions, held roles in theatre, and sang at the Oklahoma Opry. Following her move to Los Angeles, Amanda has obtained a degree in Music Therapy, embarked on an active acting career and made her directing debut at the Alex Theatre in 2006 with the production of The Vagina Monologues.
