I'd like to meet:
Kristina Wade was born May 22, 1985 in San Pedro, California to a beautiful woman of German and African American decent. Dancing & running around having so much fun in the sunlit state was like living in a fairy tale. Being raised by LA sexy beaches was just the beginning of Ms. Wade's fable. Kristina's picturesque tender years will soon bring her enjoyment of being an aspiring actress quite blissful and inspirational to women across the globe.
Attending all her years of school was a must for Ms. Wade, from Barton Hill Elementary "where I talked and talked so much but was always fun loving & going, it was from singing to running around, playing tether ball and starting food fights," Kristina says. Then she went on to attend Dana Middle School. Where she was introduced to uniforms and were she enjoyed her first drama class.
"I always had a variety of friends but the two I was always with, I told my out look on life to and even kind of fooled around with singing and did little flow raps at the local basketball court near my house," Kristina expresses. Being multi-talented is great but to educate yourself full-time is remarkable. So writing poems and various writings for Ms. Wade may come second to none. "In school, I had this teacher who I‘m sure taught English but always had us reading the plays out loud. One of my favorite stories I read was 'Helen Keller' and she always made sure we played that reading part good." Kristina says. That's when Kristina realized she had found one of her joys.
"To be another character and understanding what they're going through and realizing their situations pretty much specifics the enjoyment of not being me for a minute but how hard it is to be someone else as well. I was a girl who had so many dreams and wants in life, but coming from a family of two sisters and one half brother & sister as well. There was a lack of money where I knew and started to understand if you want those other things in life, you have to work hard. So by the age of thirteen, I was capable of getting my own Summer jobs and doing little things here and there to make those dreams come true." Kristina says.
Having strong parents in your life is golden, especially great people who would do what it took to keep their children in school. Ms. Wade explains, "Even though I had all those dreams of acting, modeling, dancing on a grand stage and writing really nice material was not so promising. I had no help in those aspirations, so I came up with a plan of being a lawyer. Since I enjoyed being around people and helping them. It kept me focused enough to stay in school amongst other things."
Always attentive on making her goals happen, Kristina entered High School determined to make her dreams come true. Ms. Wade replies "I seen they were having auditioning for the school's Drill Team and that‘s when I said to myself, you have another chance to see if you can follow through on what you love, to dance -why not? I always stuck to these words; there is nothing that I can’t do, I am Kristina Wade."
Kristina Wade sisters attended school with her but they were locked on the sports aspects of after school. But Ms. Wade wanted to take on another task. She explains why, "I wanted to do something different, everyone loves a challenge even if it scares me but it's no question that I really do love a great challenge. My siblings are all older than me so when I do something indifferent, it's like the younger sister being stimulus and crazy as usual."
Kristina's sister Triniese was esteemed of the idea of what she could present, so helped her out as much as she could. Being part of a organization sometimes means money that most families don't have freely. Ms. Wade mother and father both supported her even though the cost of uniforms and everything about it had a price tag on it. They didn't want their daughter to get discouraged if she didn't make the team because there was a fund to pay if they didn't have. It wasn't easy, but Kristina decided to show up to the practices anyways.
"While taking on a big school and all the talented dancers around me, I practiced like there was no tomorrow, I was so excited to be dancing and being apart of something that others enjoyed like me. My father and sister came to my audition to support me and within a week later I was notified. Posted on a list at the school 'Kristina Wade' the second to last name on the bottom of the page. My family and friends helped me sell so much candy in order to pay for all the uniforms and things that were needed to stay on the team. We pulled through and I was great at it, that's when dancing became one of my joys to life," Kristina stated.
In a world diagnosed with so much hatred, giving-in to animosity isn't the cure to success but revulsion. Kristina actions facing odium and standing the test of time feeling no withdrawer is amazing in it's own way. Of course there will always be a few people who want to discourage others but like Kristina says, "I feel it only me makes stronger and gives me the patience I could ask for." After a few years of pursuing dancing with her schools Drill Team, she decided to put dancing on hold and chase after something many American girls do. Finding that drive inside that made her different from everyone else and not only to fit in but her creative mind would never stop wondering -she wanted more. Something to balance her gifts of challenges and enjoyments out. "I wanted to be a model," she said.
"Okay I love acting then went to dancing and writing had been one of my most favorite hobbies through life when I had time, so I told a friend of mine during my senior year I picked up a magazine and I looked at her and said 'I want to be in a magazine'; she said do it, you keep doing everything else why not. It was because I never knew how to and money was always up & down. When I turned 16, a job was something I kept and it didn't have to be a Summer one either." Kristina prompted.
All great entertainers at some point receives a vision to urge into action. During Ms. Wade college years, she decided to major in psychology and was intrigued on how beautiful the mind worked, why people are the way they are and how could she help. Months after enrolling into college, she meet a woman through one of her best friends that told her the business aspects of the modeling industry. Kristina was amazed by all the skills she could present, so the lady wanted to help Kristina take that next step forward.
Gaining a lot of knowledge about a steadfast industry can quickly get a young talent from a street corner to an estate on the hill. With beauty, smarts and independence acceded to one or two background features in music videos. "The work she was trying to get me wasn't enough because she needed more connections. So one of my close guy friends worked at a store downtown on Melrose, were celebrities and other famous people came by frequently. He knew I was a hard worker and if I was giving a marketable product randomly, I'm going to give you not only 100 percent but 110 percent. So he contacted the ex-editor of Smooth Magazine. Sean Cummings, who ventured off and founded his own magazine called Show Magazine. My friend told tell Mr. Cummings about me. Despite my fortunate networking savvy back then, he later told my friend to bring me to his party so we can talk business. Soon after that, I had my editorial spread and the staff was amazed with the photos to were the photographer was convinced I had been shooting many times before that day but little did they know, that was my first professional (real) photoshoot." Kristina laughs.
Fortuitous on pointing out the fate of destiny can't be explained but the chance of gracing Show Magazine cover from her first photoshoot ever is astonishing. Equip with the strength to transpire whatever her heart desires knowing exactly what she wants and needs to finish the job with flying colors. Weeks after her sexy Show Magazine photoshoot, Kristina joined the LA casting networks and enlisted photographers for more shoots to keep her portfolio updated. So she can continue to network herself and get more work throughout the industry. She's currently writing her own book of collective poems and with the launch of her official website coming 2008. Kristina will launch her mobile wallpapers, online webisodes (short films of behind the scenes & outtakes) and her very own fashion line to follow soon after that. Ms. Wade is here to say.
"It has been such a tough job that I love doing, I just keep being grateful that I have even gotten this far from shooting with Show, BlackMen and LowRider Magazines. I've even being able to have a cover of Show and shoot for them again. It is that God knows my faith and where I come from and my Cinderella story. I have been featured and lead in so many video's that I enjoy doing -not because it's a video but because I love music as well. I truly believe and cannot wait to see other's do as well too. I am a great assets to the whole entertainment industry not just because of my body or pretty face but I take the time to learn, listen and keep venturing off to new and exciting things. I learned that there is a whole world out there and they will appreciate my work if it's from modeling, dancing, acting, singing or even writing my own book. Being the best is hard work but that is what I am willing to do. I can’t say that I will end up the most successful model or actress or writer but I would love to and I am going to keep trying to. I love people that believe in me and my dreams and goals. I haven’t had many opportunities to show off my acting abilities as of yet, but I did a pilot for the Wayans Brothers and I loved being on set with other actresses and models. I know were I belong and I will not stop until its accomplished. I would love for people to look at me and not just see a beautiful model but a beautiful woman with many talents that connected with the right people, which can be one of the most greatest things. I am always ready to learn, willing to get up & go -make a better living doing the job I love. To help myself and those around me, but I realized I have to help me first. So Kristina Wade is a woman full of many talents, uniqueness, beauty, wisdom and willing to push the envelope. At the end of every rainbow there is a pot of gold."
