Preface:
Our sister has her own page - she needs to say more about her life than necessary. We are slightly hurt by this but understand that Chili needs the spotlight. We are a lot lower maintenance than she is....and We are well past feeling like she is the "favorite" - we have, however, watched the movie "Sophie's Choice" and feel like we know where we would stand. Our mom is feeling guilty so we may get our own pages after she makes us an email address...keep your paws crossed!About Denver the Dingo:
Denver says bring me an especially hyper and silly breed. I love to tackle! I also love to howl at emergency vehicles to let them know I am here to help them! I am an American Dingo...or Carolina Dog! I do not eat babies...it'a an unfortunate characteristic of my Aussie relatives.
I was rescued by the Richmond SPCA before they moved to the new place. I was kennel crazy and pretty bad off but I made it because they went no-kill as I arrived. A great guy trained me and spent all sorts special time to calm me - I was there for a year and I was not picked until my mommy came in and said "give me the one who has been here the longest"! What was crazy is that she already knew from walking me as a volunteer during weekends at the old location! She got more than she bargained for but she kept me and instead got rid of the bad,bad man that wanted to give me back. Good choice Mom!
Chow Chow:
I like to go to the dog park and put my paw on you until you pet me! If you stop, I will do it again and again until you walk away. (I am being counseled on some OCD issues with the repetition thing.)Then, when I am sure you won't pet me anymore, I will move on to another potential petter....
I am also fond of my creative name. It took a lot of time and thoughtful consideration to come up with it! Before anyone asks: (note from his mom) I was not able to keep him when he landed on my door 4 years ago from being rescued from abuse. I named him "Chow Chow" so that I would not get attached. After 4 unsuccessful give aways, I ended up with a need to keep that furry little beast.
Currently, Chow Chow is annoyed that there is not a large Christmas tree up for him to brush against. He looks forward to sweeping past it and taking at least four ornaments with him at a time. Sometimes, we don't find them until the next spring when his coat is shedding a little. Chow Chow can be seen monitoring his "hard to tell" weight gain by making unsuccessful attempts to use the doggie door. When he gets stuck, it's time to put him on a diet!
