Each genre has its gems - analysed based on mastery of respective intruments/media, relevence of message, relevence of image & ITS inherent message, and well, if they bring it all together to create a polished piece of music that can stand the test of time AND be an actual unique musical (sounding)composition...not just predictable arrangements and samples pulled together to sell to the masses then that is where I go. I am happy when some of the stuff I have listened to over the years gets critical acclaim & somehow ended up on the radio. I admit, its hard to keep up...your help is always welcome, I look forward to it!
..the ones that play at AMC. thats not true, I watch some movies like I listen to fav albums. Such as: Akira, Dune, hellboy, The Road Warrior, Mad Max, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Metropolis (anime), 2001, Braveheart, Wild at Heart, Blue Velvet, StarWars saga, Indiana Jones series, new BSG, Tim Burton Movies, Carnivale, Das boot, Pirates of the Carribbean...man, this takes too long.
...Discovery Channel shows like Mythbusters, History Channel shows Simpsons, Futurama, Blue Nuit (just kidding), Price is Right when I am home sick, The Man Show, Chappel's Show, Who's Line is it, X Files (when it was on) , Lost, Letterman, this Hour has 22minutes, the Lexx, old Star Trek, for shits and giggles c'mon, the colours are still out of this world!
