Opportunity International's Official Website
Opportunity International is a non-profit microfinance organization dedicated to the poor. Join us and provide small microfinance loans -- as little as $50 -- as well as banking, insurance and savings accounts that allow poor individuals to start their own business and work their way out of poverty.
Unlike other microfinance organizations, Opportunity offers extensive training to our clients to ensure their success. With over 35 years of experience, we have a proven lending model that uses Trust Groups that help ensure each other's loans and offer encouragement throughout their journey. Our entrepreneurs show strength, determination and perseverance as they create their own businesses and form their futures. Operating through 45 implementing partners in 28 countries, we also open fully functioning banks for the poor. Recognizing the disadvantage women face in developing countries, we focus on providing them with equal opportunities to services and education: over 80% of our clients are women. Using innovative technology we reach the poorest in rural areas, offering financial services like life and crop insurance that have never been offered before.
Join Opportunity International in the fight against global poverty. Visit www.opportunity.org and see how a $25 donation could help change the course of an entire community. It's more than a loan, it's the chance to get out of poverty.
