In fact, the more I now question, the things I grew up taking as "truth". I used to think all those 40 something year olds were "grown ups". haha I find that I'm still that girl that I was in my 20's who's trying to figure it all out. I just have more experiences to show for it! I have learned some things though. Life is short. Here I am 47 years old, and it seems that I've gotten here so fast and yet at the same time, I feel like I've lived a lot of memories. I was just reading over some things I wrote a few years ago. It's strange how you can feel so strongly about something and then find out you were wrong later on. I've learned to be open to a lot of things that I would have balked at years ago. I've learned to stop judging others, it's not my job. I found out my hair can be messed up and my make-up doesn't have to look perfect. Life is too short to fuss over the small things. I am who I am, fat or skinny. I'm still Tina. Yes, I want to be better, but I don't beat myself up over not being "perfect" any more. Life is more fun. :) Maybe when I'm 80 I'll feel more "grown up", but, I bet I'll still have a lot to learn! :)
