Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare and our mission is to...
• Rescue beagles in danger of euthanasia from shelters
• Help beagles that have been removed from neglectful or
abusive situations
• Educate families about beagles and their special qualities
• Find kind, loving families for homeless or abandoned
beagles.
Who Are We?
BREW Inc. is an all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1999 by Laura Johnson in Northern Virginia. In the beginning of 2002, BREW Inc. expanded westward and BREW Mid-West was established.
Visit our website to see how many beagles have been rescued adopted through the
efforts of our volunteers. Our numbers grow on a weekly basis and as of Spring 2003,
BREW has adopted more than 1000 beagles into loving homes.
In addition to our rescue efforts, BREW is dedicated to increasing public awareness of
pet overpopulation and encouraging pet owners to spay and neuter their pets. Towards
that end, no beagle over six months of age is adopted from BREW without being spayed or neutered. BREW also works to alert people about the disadvantages of purchasing pets from a “pet store.â€
BREW Mid-West is dedicated to rescuing and re-homing beagles in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Our main focus is to assist stray beagles in shelters and animal control facilities whenever possible by placing their beagles in one of our foster homes while we work to find a permanent adoptive family. In most cases, without our help, these beagles would be euthanized.
