About Me

Bringing raw emotion, passion, and swagger to the mic, Kaotic births fury in the competition with his unrelenting flow and fierce delivery. Hailing from the Bay Area, this man is as unpredictable as his name suggests. Poised, determined, and self driven, this MC is ready to break into the national scene.Kaotic, a name given to him by a friend for his outgoing and crazy personality, takes risks on the mic, fully exposing himself through his music. Covering topics ranging from his personal struggles with women, to street life and politics, Kaotic brings passion and intensity to Hip Hop, much like his inspirations, 2 Pac and Scarface.“Music is all off emotion so I rhyme whatever I feel. I’m not afraid to show a more vulnerable side. I say things that a lot of artists are so called too tough to say. I take chances.”A self described “late bloomer” to the game, Kaotic discovered his natural ability to rhyme at the mature age of 17. Releasing his first solo album in 1999 through his own company, Black Bawl Musik, Kaotic was able to sell 4,000 copies out the trunk of his car and by word of mouth. In 2001, he teamed up with Bay Area producer Oddz to form the group Quiet Onez (Q1), and the duo released their self titled debut soon after selling 5,000 copies.Using the money from CD sells, the group opened Black Bawl Musik Recording Studios later that year. After a short stint in Los Angeles, Kaotic returned to the Bay Area to record his third and most successful independent album Black Bawl Music in 2003, grossing sells over 7,500.As his name began to spread with features in print including Showcase and Murder Dog Magazines, Kaotic attracted the attention of major labels. However, he was told that his sound was too underground.“I thought about signing, but they wanted me to soften my sound, but at the time I wasn’t willing to do that. Besides, I knew I could afford to take a stand. I wasn’t desperate for the money.”Unwilling to compromise his unique sound and integrity, Kaotic decided to keep releasing music independently and building a buzz around his name. In need of a new scene, Kaotic decided to take up another challenge and move to the East Coast. Settling in Philadelphia and spending time in New York and New Jersey, Kaotic further developed his lyrics, incorporating his West Coast roots with his new found East Coast flavor. While in Philadelphia, Kaotic garnered respect from industry insiders and fans alike, releasing a mixtape in 2005 entitled Kaotic Vol. 1, and performing at local concerts and venues including The 5 Spot. Later that same year, he signed a production deal with Sigma Studios/G’s to the Beats.Moving back to the Bay Area in 2006, Kaotic issued Kaotic- I’m Better Than You Vol. 2 in September of that year on Blacktie Records. Working with producers and artists including the very talented and diverse producer DJ Amp Live of Zion I, well known Bay Area producer Sean T, and other up and coming artists like Retro, Kaotic is scheduled to release another mixtape this year hosted by DJ Finesse of Bad Boy Entertainment. Also due out later this year is the explosive new single produced by Philadelphia producer Faust, featuring AZ called “What’s Up,” which will be featured on the mixtape and Kaotic’s highly anticipated new album.Using one word to describe the upcoming mixtape and album, Kaotic, with his head tilted to the side and a cocky smirk on his face said, “Reckless.”Setting the stage to become a major force in the industry on a national scale,Kaotic desires to add something new to Hip Hop while staying true to himself. “A lot of MC’s are not real. I’m the same all the time. That’s what’s going to get me to a label; is me being me. When it’s all over, I want to be considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.”
