My Interests

Hypothetically: Reading. Writing. Speaking. Teaching. Rewriting. Avoiding blatant displays of any of the aforementioned activities. Not using the word 'aforementioned' more than twice a day. Not planning anything because she doesn't like it. Not searching for a plan for harmony amongst everything aforementioned. Contributing. Really: Being surrounded by people, thinking I'm better than them, and knowing that they're better than me. Regretting constantly evoking the word 'better'. Regretting constantly thinking and regretting. Laughing at the sound of my voice pronouncing a curse word. Constructing inside joke bonds with people so that I can feel privileged. Breaking those bonds when I discover they're not being monogamous. Not contributing.

I'd like to meet:

Not one measly person. I wouldn't appreciate anyone with a speck of interestingness anyway and we'd both be bored soon. Yes, uh huh, wow you've been busy. So I'll just drink through my straw and look at my paper. Meanwhile a measly person whom I wouldn't like to meet will probably ask me for the mustard, and since I like mustard we will have a great conversation, and I will regret having called them 'measly'.

Music:

Any wordless filth because then I give it meaning. All the millions of other songs with words, whose status changes from nanosecond to nanosecond, but that at least once made me pee. You know who you are.

Books:

Twain:On the Damned Human Race,Huck, Miller:Tropic of Cancer, Ginsberg:Kaddish (Ignu), Conrad, Orwell, Dostoyevsky:Notes From the Underground, Ortega y Gasset, Shakespeare, Eliade, Faulkner, Carpentier:Los pasos perdidos, Said, Hamilton, Jung, Cortzar:Los premios, Rayuela, Benedetti: Primavera con una esquina rota, La tregua, Borges:Ficciones, Sarduy, Camus:La chute, Joyce, Dante, Rimbaud, Frye, Manet:D'amour et d'exil, Kerouac: On the road, Huidobro, Pizarnik, Glissant, Eco, Lorca, Cassirer. I'm attracted to words written while far away from home.

Heroes:

People who gave up things for other people. I have some in mind. One of them isn't me.
