About Me

Madison Lynn Georgi, a.k.a. “Maddie," is 16 years old and above everything else she loves to play the guitar and pursue her number one passion in life—singing. Over the past several years, she has had many great opportunities and experiences to share this passion with others. As a past member of the North Star Kids Performance Troupe, she got to sing at a wide variety of venues across the state.
Maddie loves to sing the National Anthem and has been asked to do so at many events including: WPIAL Basketball Championships, University of Pittsburgh Basketball Game at Peterson Events Center, and Pittsburgh Pirates Games at PNC Park!
She found her love of singing through musical theatre and as a junior in high school, she still looks forward to the school's musical every year. Most recently, she played the part of Little Red Ridinghood in her high school’s production of "Into the Woods” and received a great review from Pittsburgh Post Gazette theatre critic, Christopher Rawson, along with a Gene Kelly nomination for Best Supporting Actress!
In 2007, Maddie was thrilled to win the Kean Idol title. It was the first and only time a contestant won both the Audience Favorite Award, as well as the Judge’s Choice Award. She won the contest and the hearts of the audience with a song she wrote for her autistic brother, Jake. The song is called "Take My Hand" and it has raised thousands of dollars for local autism programs. The positive feedback she has received about the song has inspired Maddie to keep writing, playing, and singing.
She is passionate about raising awareness for autism and other related disabilities and has performed at various fundraisers including autism walks in Pa. and Ohio, Mt. Lebanon’s Ultra Party and most recently at the Hard Rock Cafe Pittsburgh for the Rock for Autism benefit. Maddie is also interested in raising money for breast cancer research because she has two aunts who are survivors.
Today Maddie continues to perform around Western PA as a solo artist and is at times accompanied by other great talents. She is so excited to have her EP Release party on 5/29 at the Hard Rock Cafe!
When she is not singing, you might find her doing her other favorite activity--hosting the McDonald's Steelers KidZone TV Show which tapes and airs during the regular football season.
Here are some fun facts about Maddie:
♥ her favorite color is Tiffany Blue (the color of a Tiffany & Co. box) and her entire room is painted that color!
♥ her favorite food in the world is probably pierogies. (spoken like a true Pittsburgher!)
♥ she has a goldfish named Fretty (like the frets on a guitar) who has greatly exceeded the lifespan of the average goldfish
♥ she loves to read. especially books by Jodi Piccoult and Nichoas Sparks.
♥ Maddie can't whistle. at all. seriously :(
♥ she is probably the least athletically inclined person you will ever meet and she tends to break a bone everytime she tries a new sport.
♥ she writes her own songs and spends a lot of time writing every night.
♥ she loves shopping, getting dressed up, and going out with her friends.
