Ending In E was formed in February 2006 by former high-school band mates, vocalist Anthony Guarente and drummer Rob Salvatore. After a month of searching for a lead guitarist, original bassist Danny Huxley recommended his old friend, and loyal student of the strings, Anthony Luciano. The original lineup started playing shows through the summer of 2006, but realized they were in need of a youthful spark plug. The band had to look no further than the Salvatore household, recruiting 21-year old Steven Salvatore. Steven spent his first months dividing his time between his new project, and Gunhill- a melodic, metal arrangement of neighborhood misfits. After internal strife and earth-shattering accusations, Gunhill quickly deteriorated and Steven committed to Ending In E full-time.
The band played their way through the local circuit and gained initial notoriety by being crowned as winners of “Porkypalooza,” a Battle of the Bands held in Manhattan in which 25 bands competed. With momentum building, they continued to enter similar contests, one of which landed them a spot on 92.3 Free Fm on the JV and Elvis Show. It was at this point that the band realized they had to get into the recording studio as soon as possible. In the early months of 2007, Ending In E released their first EP, “What You Want.” The EP quickly spread through the streets of The Bronx and Westchester and the band soon found themselves being courted by various local producers; all competing for the duty of recording the debut album.
In November 2007, bassist Danny Huxley came to the decision to part ways with Ending In E to pursue other projects. Danny soon left the band, but not before bestowing his knowledge upon Stephen Millet- a young, unknown bassist and co-survivor of the Gunhill massacre. Now complete, Ending In E went ahead with plans to record their full-length album, hiring local producer David Andronico. David and the band spent the better part of 2008 at Little Door Studio in the Bronx, fine-tuning their sound, and recording a collection of songs that would become “The Morning Of,” their long awaited debut album. “The Morning Of” was formally released on Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at Barney McNabb’s in Yonkers in front of a max capacity crowd of dedicated fans, friends, and family. Ending In E is now back in the creative stage, plotting their next move, and taking small steps on the road to the rebirth of rock.
