This gifted vocalist began singing in her church choir at age 11. With her extensive vocal range from a first soprano to a baritone, Elaine was destined for stardom. She won her first competition at age 16, performing “HOME†from the “The Wiz.†Elaine attended William Penn High School in Philadelphia and was a featured performer in numerous on-stage productions. Elaine continued her education at Hampton University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech Communication and Theatre Arts. While at Hampton, she joined the university’s gospel choir, “His Chosen Sounds,†and recorded a gospel album as a featured soloist. Elaine also performed regularly with 2 campus bands and as a soloist at official university functions.Elaine uses her strong musical theatre background and her extensive vocal training to enhance her performances. She has sung the National Anthem at NFL and NBA games and performed original and cover tunes at selected venues throughout the Philadelphia area. In August 2000, Elaine was one of the featured performers for a Praise and Worship Service featuring Shirley Caesar. Most recently, she is performing as a lead singer with the group “The Quake†which can be heard throughout the Tri-State area at various venues.In June 2007, Elaine was selected as a background singer at Teddy Pendergrass's 25th Anniversary Celebration at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. She sang background with Patti LaBelle, Melba Moore, Stephanie Mills, Musiq Soulchild, Kindred the Family Soul, and Teddy. Later that summer, Elaine also sang with Michael Buble at the Mann Music Center at his tour stop in Philadelphia.
