CT REPPIN HaRD BODII Envy (born Draonta Ferguson on May 20, 1989 in Atlanta, Georgia)an Atlanta hip-hop rapper who is single handily making a name for himself. This independent artist started in the game at age twelve and has recently hit the hip-hop scene hard in Atlanta. This up and rising artist has exceeded Chris Brown and 50 Cent in concert demands in Atlanta on eventful.com. He has been a MySpace member since June 2006 and has received crazy hits on his song plays to exceed one hundred thousand. He won first place on Hot 107.9 Radio Battle Grounds in Atlanta two consecutive weeks in June 2007. He’s performed in high profile shows like The Bronner Brothers Hair Show and has opened for well known major artist He has also collaborated with many up & coming local & major artist. Envy has been featured in SYG Magazine (SpitYoGame Magazine) for October 2007 issue (and they don’t feature just anyone on the SYG magazine cover). He is also climbing the MySpace Artist Chart in Georgia in record numbers. He has accumulated a strong MySpace fan base on his own by hitting the streets of Atlanta. Young Envy’s “B4 Da Fame Tour!” kicks off January 2008 and will be touring several cities in the United States. Both his parents passed away before becoming a teenager. Envy got into hip-hop music because of the passion it brings and to express himself. At twelve years old, he promised his mother he would work hard to make her rich and proud of him. Sadly, his mother passed away later that year of breast cancer. He lost his father at the age of 8 to a violent street crime. Even though he has suffered the lost of both parents at a young age, Envy has continued to make his mother proud and a name for himself in the hip-hop world. Envy admits early in his career he used to rap other artist’s lyrics like Field Mobb. Someone caught him and told him they’ve heard those lyrics before. That’s when he decided that he would take his rap career seriously, his cousin Antonio Anderson told him to start writing his own lyrics while other cousins told him that he couldn’t rap and Envy took this as a challenge and kept at it until he got better. Envy’s first hip-hop song he recorded in 2002 was “Court Room”. His talent wasn’t recognized until his second song “Do It How We Do” in 2003 after leaving the hip-hop group BMS (Big Money Stacking) & landing A partnership deal with J.B owner of 2smuv entertainment. Since Envy has been solo, he has been crunk and hot! His songs tell a story and he still honors the promise he made to his mother in making her proud of him. At the age of 13, Envy had a tombstone tattoo placed on his left arm, which reads ‘R.I.P. Mom’ and a tombstone tattoo placed on his right arm that reads ‘R.I.P. Dad’. Envy feels when he goes to sleep at night and folds his arms, it looks as though his parents are sleeping with him. Envy will be partnering with a Breast Cancer Awareness Organization and also Street Violence Organizations to bring awareness to these issues that took the lives of his parents.
