Police identify woman who was fatally shot in Oakland Shadondee A. Williams remembered as an outgoing woman who loved her family , FROM STAFF REPORTS Article Last Updated: 09/27/2007 02:51:10 AM PDT OAKLAND — A 24-year-old woman shot to death Tuesday night in West Oakland was identified Wednesday by police as Shadondee A. Williams. Police said she had an address in East Oakland, but apparently also spent a lot of time in Berkeley. She was shot about 9:50 p.m. Tuesday while standing near the intersection of 33rd Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Police said she may have been visiting friends in the area. Sgt. Rick Andreotti said a man approached her and shot her, but he does not yet know why. The suspect fled after shooting Williams, who was driven by friends to Summit Medical Center. She died at 10:03 p.m. Williams' godsister, Teresa Sonley, described Williams as an outgoing woman, who loved her family and whose father Dondee Williams, was shot to death when she was a baby. This slaying was Oakland's 104th homicide of the year. Last year at this time, there were 112 homicides in the city. Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the killer.
