Axe Populi seeks to explore the various existential facets of counter-culture ideology. There are three prominent voices that are heard most often: The Dreamer, The Totalitarian, and The Primitivist. Ideologies tend to have their sway and their own subcultures that adhere to them. There are valuable lessons to be learned from all forms of ideology. These must be examined closely, as none secure the correct path. There is a firm belief that civilization is the enemy. However,civilization cannot be destroyed, for technology is developing faster than that its need. Totalitarianism can, and often does, lead to fascism, genocide and war. Yet, it is somewhat possible for the Dreamer to drop out of civilization, to remove ones self from a world that tries to tame us. But to what impact? Could it be that the impact of any of these chosen subcultures and ideologies is null, when the goal is simply self-fulfillment? We can tear down all boundaries when we realize that we are our own masters.
