ODD HUMANS [debut album out now]

Odd Humans is a duo hailing from Salvador, Brazil. Old friends Sergio Franco Filho (AUTOMATA, Satânia) and Enio Nogueira (Enio e A Maloca) wrote and recorded 4 acoustic songs back in 2000, attempting to capture their chemistry as songwriters already working together for a while. In 2001, they both reunited, wrote more songs and recorded a 6-song demo with Paulo Silva on drums and Renato Nunes on bass. Those were the years the project was called Mobile.
After years apart, collaborating on different projects, the duo decided to finally re-record the 6 songs plus the ones that didn't make it to the demo. Odd Humans' "Stranger Seems The Purpose" is a 13-song effort produced by Sergio. The songs, which were recorded by Jera Cravo (AUTOMATA, Lou) - who also drums on the album, showcase very solid songwriting through plenty of melody, dynamics and meaningful lyrics. Other guests include Gabriel Pettenatti (Enio e A Maloca) on bass and Matheus Brasil (Mirabolix) on acoustic guitar.
The album was mixed at Capricorn Studios by engineer Christian Cummings (Ken Andrews, Crash Encore, The Bronx) and mastered at Lurssen Mastering by Gavin Lurssen (Bad Religion, Tom Waits, Peeping Tom).

O Odd Humans é um duo de Salvador, Bahia. Os velhos amigos Sergio Franco Filho (AUTOMATA, Satânia) e Enio Nogueira (Enio e A Maloca) compuseram e gravaram 4 faixas acústicas em 2000, em uma tentativa de capturar a sua química como compositores trabalhando juntos há algum tempo. Em 2001, reuniram-se, compuseram mais músicas e gravaram uma demo com 6 músicas tendo Paulo Silva (ex-Lynch, ex-Chronic) na bateria e Renato Nunes (Diamba) no baixo. Naqueles anos, o projeto chamava-se Mobile.
Após anos separados, contribuindo em projetos distintos, o duo decidiu finalmente re-gravar as 6 músicas mais as que não entraram na demo. "Stranger Seems The Purpose" é um lançamento com 13 músicas produzido por Sergio. As músicas, gravadas por Jera Cravo (AUTOMATA, Lou) - que também toca bateria no disco, demonstram composição bastante sólida através de muita melodia, dinâmicas e letras fortes. Outras participações incluem Gabriel Pettenatti (Enio e A Maloca) no baixo e Matheus Brasil (Mirabolix) no violão.
O álbum foi mixado no Capricorn Studios, em San Diego, pelo engenheiro Christian Cummings (Ken Andrews, Crash Encore, The Bronx) e masterizado no Lurssen Mastering, em Hollywood, por Gavin Lurssen (Bad Religion, Tom Waits, Peeping Tom).
