About Me

My mother sang to me. I think that's the beginning of it. I started piano early, performing recitals and concerts from the age of five. Picked up the sax at 10 years old and promptly fell in love. I studied at the University of North Dakota for three years while my first band, George's August Brew, learned everything we felt we needed to know about the music industry by playing gigs in Grand Forks and Fargo (can you sense that sarcasm?). Eventually the band moved to Colorado together. GAB went on to play many great shows all over the western part of the United States, recieving spectacular reviews, gracing magazine covers, and playing many large festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, the Colorado Brewers Festival, and the FibArk Festival. GAB won the Colorado Battle of the Bands in 2003. In 2005 the band split amicably and I relocated to Los Angeles to pursue all areas of my solo career, including writing and recording, but mostly just to play the sax...and of course sit in with the occasional rockstar. Over the years I have had the fortune of performing with countless great bands and incomparable artists from all over. My new website will be up soon, and with any luck, I may even get around to doing that CD that I have been talking up for too long.

Sounds Like: If you combined the DNA from John Coltrane, G Love, and Bob Dylan...and genetically created a test-tube child from the three....that child would be a lot more hip, talented, and better looking than me.
