I'm a fun-loving guy, whose philosophy in life is to never take life too seriously…being too serious causes unnecessary stress and just makes you a not-so-fun person. I am a graduate of Hampton University, and am currently in the middle of my Master’s degree program at Penn State University in College Student Affairs. My most immediate intention career wise is to work in some aspect of student affairs doing student programming, maybe in student activities or multicultural affairs, but I also have interests in doing alternative education programming, like working with economically disadvantaged youth (mainly black males) to help them get on the path towards college. I am also an avid artist, in the broadest sense of the word—I love music, cooking (yes, that is a form of art), writing, and really any form of artistic expression. I have aspirations to something big musically (singing), and am working on music now (shout-out to Collective Energy). Hopefully soon I’ll have something I can put on MySpace for you to hear. I’m kind of all over the place, so I also have an interest in doing something with cooking—maybe opening a restaurant or something later in life. We’ll see where God takes me. Family is very important to me—I include close friends in that category as well. Everyday I realize more and more how important it is to be close to you family, and to build meaningful relationships with them. I am very grateful for my immediate family, who has supported me in everything I’ve chosen to do—my Mom, Dad, and my sister Jamie (who will soon be making me an Uncle!!). I have also learned the importance of close friends, and really appreciate those people I’ve grown up with, who know me best, and who I can always come home to no matter how long we’ve been out of contact.
