South Finesse

South Finesse is a collaboration between some of the finest mc's and vocalists yet to be released from the south of the UK. In late 2007, after growing up in the same Newbury area, they hooked up with producer Joe90, who creates the beats and helps with hooks and arrangements, and South Finesse was born. They have been working together ever since.Individually, members of the group have had previous successes with solo projects and performances at venues such as Sound (London), Oceans (London), and performed with artists such as Ice T and Taio Cruz. As a group South Finesse have featured as themselves in a revamped version of Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet', which is to be aired on channel 4 in early 2009.For the past year the group have been working in the studio on their album and are set to release their debut E.P on their own label ‘Bossman Figurez’.Essentially commercial hip hop, but never afraid to try something new, the group experiment in a variety of genres, from rough and ready dancehall beats to smooth soulful R&B, contemporary hip hop to up tempo reggaeton and soca beats, 'volatile', 'versatile', and 'addictive' are just some of the words used to describe South Finesse. With tracks such as 'Like This', 'My director' and 'Money’', they have differentiated themselves from other acts not only by their unique sound but by their ability to create a hit rather than just a catchy song.All of these are reasons why South Finesse is one of hottest new groups to watch in 2009!
