I'd like to meet:
Vincent Palumbo
About me:
I'm a musician. I try to avoid to belong to any particular genre, mostly cause I like the idea that composing music can lead to a never felt emotion. My aim is to change everybody's vision about music arrangement as a subsidiary work, it's more than ever a foreground object and it should be worked as well as the melody, harmony,... Electronic instruments let us free to experiment and reinvente the musical aesthetic. That's the way, i'm willing to explore music composition.

DSI Multitouch First Test from P20cent on Vimeo .
I made a multitouch table with two layers of acrylic:
One for the projection, the other for the Diffused
Frustrated Infrared that are diffuse by LEDs in ribbons with a wavelenght of 850nm.
I used a modified PS3EYE camera to view the infrared light. It runs @ 60 FPS for a 640 by 480 pixels by frame.
Besides that, I'm currently coding a music software based on the same principles of the reactable.A collaborative interface that makes sound manipulations understandable even by a large audience. The software will be more based on samples and sequences compared to the reactable that is a modular synthesizer. There are gonna be several way to process loops, all will be as easy to use like the MLR for the monome or a turntable.

Soundtrack for the movie
"The Creature From the Black Lagoon"
This is the end of the movie Creature From the Black Lagoon for which I remade the soundtrack.
This movie is now in the public domain
you can watch it on google video for free.

The overall music consist in a serie of rearranged improvisation performed on a prepared Grand Piano without the use of any effects except volume and panning.
The foley sounds have been recreated except for the voices which have been partly cut and extracted from the original soundtrack. Hope you'll enjoy it.
For more informations on those technics see John Cage's "Sonatas and Interludes for Prepared Piano" where its inventor wrote some pieces of music that uses it in a wider way.
That's a simple remix i had to make for an exam.
I don't really like the original but i tried to improve it by removing some useless sounds and rewriting some parts that used to sound really lame like the drum. The aim was for me to keep it sound like Nine Inch Nails and to make it sound better.
My version:
You can listen to the original release here
Nine Inch Nails is one of the first mainstream bands to be part of Creative Commmon. Therefore every sound that are part of their songs they release are free to use in the limits of the "Creative Common Licence".
