THE TASTE

About Me

MyGen Profile Generator OK, so before reading the gratuitus, achievement laiden bio below, here's the cut and shoot for those with short attention spans. The Taste is once again based in Nashville, and man it feels good to be home. 2 years in Los Angeles spawned some great new music, new friends helping out in big ways, and lots of stories to tell. The new EP will be available in a few weeks. Though The Taste is on indefinite hiatus as a live act for the time being. Everyone is scattered about. Fun while it lasted.Studio only for a while. - The Clint

Get this video and more at MySpace.com ............................................................ ..................There are mindless, clone-rock driven hopefuls and then, there is The Taste. In a musical age where true originality barely exists, The Taste manage to be as creatively derivative of their influences as a band can be. Breathing fresh air into the lungs of an increasingly monotonous rock scene screaming for resuscitation, this band breeds pure, in-your-face-rock `n roll in its 11th hour. ****Formed in 2003 in Nashville, The Taste have received major props from industry insiders. Jane Magazine and celebrity judge Shirley Manson of Garbage selected The Taste as one of the top 10 unsigned bands for their 2006 Reader CD. MTV licensed all five songs from the bands debut EP More Where This Came From(2004) for international use on network programs. The bands first single from that release, The House Always Wins received airplay on WBUZ-Nashville (R&R/Alt). The Taste also performed for numerous live broadcasts and concerts sponsored by WBUZ. ****The Taste are featured on Jetboys of Babylon, a New York Dolls tribute album released in June 2004. The album also features The Alarm, and Steve Jones of The Sex Pistols. The Taste was a nominee for Best Band as well as featured performers at Nashvilles 2004 Starving Artists Awards. The Taste was a nominee for Best Rock Band at the 2004 Nashville Scene Music Awards. ****The Taste has opened for a variety of national acts including Fuel, Default, Three Days Grace, as well as being featured at Best Buy Nashville River Stages alongside Foo Fighters, The Strokes, and Story of the Year. In addition The Taste has toured throughout the Southeast developing fan bases in Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Birmingham, Orlando, and Tampa to name a few. The swaggering ferocity of the bands live show continues to intensify with every notch on the proverbial tour belt. ****The Taste spent most of 2005 restructuring, and writing and recording new material for their full length album, and relocating to Los Angeles. **** 2006 saw the fruits of many labors come forth, as well as help from multiple friends established in the industry, more writing, more recording, more meetings, and on, and on.... but not all in vain. 2007 and it's time to head back to Nashville, everything can be handled from here now, did what needed to be done in Los Angeles, outta there****The Tastes honest, raw energy hits you like a speeding Mac truck as the bands signature hooks penetrate your consciousness with full-throttle velocity. Armed with talent, charisma, and commercial viability, The Taste are poised to become the new radio darlings of a rock-thirsty generation.
