About Me

Jenny comes from a musical family and began singing with them even as a child. Her first band was a Jazz/Funk band which she joined at the age of 15 and performed in several major venues around Scotland like 'The Fruit Market' in Glasgow or 'The Venue' in Edinburgh. At the age of 19 Jenny wrote and recorded a pop song for Radio Clyde with renowned DJ and producer Trevor Riley at Wavefom studios in Glasgow. The succes of this song and a genuine passion for music and writing encouraged her to continue. Studying at art school Jenny trained as a designer but she did not forget her passion for music and found the time to perform two new songs at the Lemontree in Aberdeen with 'Tim Shoben' the great Blues guitarist.Jenny arrived in Paris in 2005 and determined to pursue her passion for singing and performing she met Vynce Leff; producer for the progressive rock group 'Saens' and formed the group sensitive to light www.sensitivetolight.fr. Jenny worked on the many complex styles of Vynce's music bringing her Celtic touch and after a little persuation, some of her own compositions such as 'Carpe Diem', 'Sleeping Volcano' and 'Doctor'... Sensitive to light have performed at many events around Europe and are now preparing to tour for the release of a second album under the British label Cyclops. Although Jenny considers herself to be more of a rock/pop or folk singer she loves the complexity of progressive music and likes bands such as Pink Floyd and more recently Muse not to mention the hundreds of other artists she admires.Jenny also formed another group called Not For Capture www.notforcapture.com with producer and artist Bernard Gionta for which she was the lead singer and co songwriter. She performed in many venues in and around Paris including La Fleche d'or, Le Sentier des Halles and recorded a video clip 'Invisible' for Europe 2 TV, MCM pop...The group released the album 'People' with Nocturne and La Mante Productions. This album was recorded in Vincennes studios.Jenny has very diverse influences from traditional Scottish folk music to 60s and 70s Rock to contemporary Brit pop.Jenny is presently working on new songs and working in collaboration with great musicians...
