The Big Blue would like to hear from any labels interested in releasing our music, either in the UK or abroad.

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------

The Big Blue has had several incarnations over the years. After the original guitar band line-up split in 2001, Richard and Allan continued to write together, and played the occasional gig as a two-piece acoustic act. They met Mark in 2003, forming the basis of the band as it is today

The band has since been honing their warm acoustic style through several line-up changes, with Emma, Izzy, Peter, Peter and Charlie now firmly ensconced in the line-up also. Easy comparisons with other artists remain tantalisingly and refreshingly out of reach, with audiences drawn in by the distinctive and beautifully crafted music

The Big Blue released their first EP - Something to Hold On To - in October 2004 to positive popular and critical response from the West Yorkshire public & press alike. A launch party in Wakefield was followed by a series of gigs around the region, culminating in a special circus themed event at one of Leeds premier venues, The Wardrobe

The band are now showcasing their latest offerings with the recent release of their second EP - A Small Drop In The Ocean - expanding the display of their musical creativity and versatility. A Small Drop In The Ocean was recorded and mixed in sessions spanning several months - a painstaking but richly rewarding process. Another launch gig in Wakefield is now set to be followed with appearances on radio and gigs further afield in order to spread the word The Big Blue are coming...

BBC Raw Talent

Eight musicians took the floor at BBC Humberside last week to represent The Big Blue. Suffering from fatigue, I downed 3 cans of red bull to soothe the 'tired lungs' and 'swollen eye balls' before so...

TV stardom

This week, BBC One's Look North featured an instrumental section of Never Leave over one of their news items. I mean 'news' in the broadest sense.... It was over a montage of newly born lambs, in...
