About Me

'BEAT SURRENDER' is Durham's band night organised by Vanessa and Ani. We will be putting on regular gigs with local bands at changing venues.
We've put on gigs including bands like FIELD MUSIC, THE GOLDEN VIRGINS, DARTZ!, THIS AINT VEGAS, LAKE ME, 3rd PLANETARIUM (last ever gig!), FORMER CELL MATES and THE SOUND EXPLOSION. Overall this means we've raised over £2000!!!
Even better Beat Surrender is a charity based band night, meaning that all the profits we make go to SSSK - students supporting street kids.
Later we are going to have bands including Field Music and Revolution and many others. If there are any bands you'd like to see let us know and we'll try our best to persuade them to play a gig in Durham.
Last year we put on gigs with Durham Student bands like Team A vs Team B and we've had a huge and massively successful Battle of the Bands with 7 bands making a profit of 470pounds in one night!!!
Check out the charity website under Students Supporting Street Kids and Music Beats Poverty who are also fantastic people doing more or less the same thing in Sunderland!
