About Me

As often as I do, I find myself changing this paragraph, and since nothing is consistent it is absurd to think this should be. I'm boring and awkward and spend much of my time walking or reading. I love to read, it is one of my favorite things to do; on the subway, in the streets, especially in the tub. Some have called me artsy though the meaning in vague; I'm a writer, I used to sing, I study people and I hate phones. Eventually I'll be back in school studying psychology, and minoring in something I have yet to decide. I live in Astoria, New York with my darling Nick and am working towards making a life for myself. Perhaps someday it will happen. In the mean time, everything in my life has a story, even this sentence.

Introspections from Exterior Influences

In my shop guests enter apprehensively, like children in Mommy and Daddy's room or cats sniffing out new territory. I smile at them, because that's what I do, or I greet them. But as soon as I step ...

Too much iced tea. Always.

Yesterday at work, after drinking a lot of iced tea to wake up, I found I really really had to pee. So I left my store, told one of my workmates I'd be right back and rushed downstairs. The hallway ...

Silly, I almost feared for our lives...

So, on Mondays Dan and I have to take a taxi to his Occupational Therapy 102 blocks away (10 across and 92 blocks down). We try to avoid the black, white, beige etc taxis - otherwise known as "private...

Disassociated:Re-Committed

My fingers, which sparkle in certain lights, are permanently garnished with glitter from work. The feeling, although lovely to look at (in certain lights:O), is something akin to that burnlike, tender...

Uninhabitable for our Grandchildren

I was exceedingly depressed today as Daniel and I walked back across the park. I am a rather political person which is, of course, why I don't write about it very often. Many - in fact most of you wil...
