Anthony has been working in the music business for over 25 years. Recording, performing, and teaching music all over the tri-state area. His sister, Rosemarie, won an electric guitar on the boardwalk at Seaside Heights, New Jersey and got him started on his musical journey. Since then, he's studied with Dennis Gorgas, Joe Cinderella, Peter Mazza, and Matt Smith (to name a few). Anthony graduated from William Paterson University where he was exposed to great jazz players like Jimmy Ponder, Rufus Reid, and Bucky Pizzerelli. His influences and tastes cover a wide array of music from Stravinsky-Joplin-Gershwin to Van Halen-Robert Johnson-Page. He continues to evolve and keep an open mind and open ears towards music of all genres. Rufo showcases his keen ability to create moods, awaken emotions, and paint pictures with and without the use of words. Currently, he is working on his 3rd original CD "Passionate Presence" which includes some of his most challenging and inspirational guitar, piano, and vocal works.
