Susan is a graduate of Shenandoah University's prestigious
Shenandoah Conservatory. She has a Bachelor of Music in Music
Theatre/ Voice and was awarded the St. Cecila award for vocal excellence.
Susan has appeared professionally in over 50
musicals and operas. She has performed throughout the country at places like the Kennedy Center, the National Cathedral, the French Embassy,
Symphony Hall in Boston as well many others. Susan created the role
of Sally in the world premiere of Starting Another Day at the
Kennedy Center. She was seen as Abby Borden in the
Washington, DC premiere of Lizbeth, also at the Kennedy Center.
Susan has performed in some of the casino lounges in
Atlantic City. She has studied many styles of singing from Classical
to Country and everything in between. She has taught both privately
and at the college level for more than 10 years.Susan's students range in ability from very beginners to
professional singers. Many of her students have been accepted to
or are currently attending theatre and opera programs in upper
echelon programs such as Emerson, Shenandoah Conservatory,
Cincinnati College-Conservatory, Boston Conservatory, Cleveland
Institute of Music, Hartt School of Music, University of the Arts, AMDA and
NYU, just to name a few. Susan's students have gone on to work professionally in theatre and opera, both in the US and in Europe. She has students who perform locally in casinos and has sent a few to Nashville with management/production deals. Her younger students play leads in their respective school plays, and a number of them have won state, regional and national talent competitions.Susan has been recognized by the National Foundation for Advancement in
the Arts for her support and achievement in teaching those students who
have been singled out for their exceptional artistic achievements in the
youngARTS program.Susan currently resides in the Atlantic City, NJ area with her
husband and daughter.
