COURTNEY YASMINEH

About Me

In the spring of 2009 Courtney will release a brand new collection of her most innovative and yet accessible material to date. Working with long time collaborator, the nationally acclaimed producer Rob Genadek, Courtney has fleshed out her unique musical vision on these tracks.

Stupid Bitch Records is an independent label, under which Courtney has put out all of her recordings since 2002. All Stupid Bitch Records recordings are available on cdbaby and itunes. The Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan inspired acoustic ep EARLY DAYS includes Courtney's classic ode to an idol "Married to Bob" and the smoldering "Heart of a Man". SUFI LINE, Courtney's full length release from 2005 is a Daniel Lanois, Emmylou Harris styled collection of gritty ballads of love and redemption with hard-driving blues rock overtones.

Courtney's recordings have been played on local, regional, and national radio. "Sodapop Girl" from the SUFI LINE record was included on Lufthansa Airlines in flight playlist summer of '08. Courtney's recordings have also had radio play in the Netherlands, Germany, and Scandinavia.
