The smile hides the pain. Born in Richmond, Va and raised in Dinwiddie, Va, this artist spent plenty of time simply hiding it all. After her father killed her mother, she shut down; spent most of her time silent, soaking in the world, and never getting answers to her questions. It wasn’t until she put pen to pad that she realized she had a gift. And now, with over 15 years of writing under her belt, she has grown. She often says, “ You don’t get older, you get better.†The transition to Dinwiddie didn’t make it any easier when the family that should’ve rebuilt her broken spirit added even more to it. She now thanks them. They added fuel to a fire that would allow her to share her gift with the world. Her inspiration came from death, from life, from love. With her first book in works (Conversations at My Sister’s Dinner Table) and a CD on the way, this artist can truly say she’s made it. To date she has worked with Darren Blunt (Meeting Jessica Care Moore), P-Nyce (When I Meet My Soulmate), E the poet Emcee (Broken Heart Cliché), Defakto, and Black Lyric. She is on the move and wants others to join her on her journey.
