Jnr Robinson

Jnr has been plying his vocal trade since the age of 4. He started as a young vocal protégé with his brothers singing in the local churches and quickly caught the attention of many a discerning ear.

Since then he has become one of the most popular and widely respected gospel vocalist in the United Kingdom, touring extensively throughout the country and performing in many prestigious venues. He has appeared on numerous T.V. and radio shows, as well performed in the “West End” musicals ‘Mama I Want To Sing’ (1995), which included “A List” Divas such as Chaka Khan, Deniece Williams and Mica Paris.
To cap an already fulfilling and successful year he was the recipient of the coveted gospel award for “Best male vocalist of the year” 94/95.
Jnr has travelled to many different countries around the world such as Jamaica, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and the United States; amazing audiences with his vocal dexterity and ability to take them to another level of musical appreciation. His sultry honey soaked gospel tones leave the most cynical of listeners open mouthed and wanting more!
His current focus is Europe, where he has been performing regularly in countries such as Cyprus, Germany, Poland, Denmark and Switzerland (where he was a regular guest soloist for their national Choir ‘Awake’). In Denmark he both performed and led the Choir at the Copenhagen Gospel Festival, and has done the same in Poland for the Polish Gospel Festival held in Krokow.
In Italy he is a frequent performer at the annual Gospel Jubilee Festival in Turin and the Anno Domini Multifestival held in Oropa and also the Milano Gospel Festival, Varese Gospel Festival and many more…
Jnr has appeared on numerous albums as both backing vocalist and main featured artist. This gives you an insight into the character of the man; his primary objective whatever the project is to give the audience what they came for and in his world that always amounts to the same thing: “Q.U.A.L.I.T.Y”.

Jnr inizia a cantare sin dalla tenera età di quattro anni. Da ragazzo era solito cantare nelle chiese, sostenuto e aiutato dai suoi fratelli, tanto che ben presto c’è chi si accorge del suo talento e lo incoraggia nel suo ministero. Diventa uno dei più popolari e rispettabili gospel singers del Regno Unito e comincia così a dare concerti ovunque in chiese e anche in teatri e luoghi di prestigio.
Numerose le sue apparizioni in programmi TV e Radio e importante la sua parte nei musical “West End” e “Mama, I want to sing”(1995)in cui avevano un ruolo anche le famose star pop e gospel Chaka Khan, Deniece Williams e Mica Paris.
...E per terminare un anno davvero felice dal punto di vista professionale non poteva che ricevere il riconoscimento del premio gospel “Gospel Award” come “Migliore Cantante Gospel”.
Jnr ha viaggiato molto intorno al mondo. E’ stato in paesi come la Giamaica, il Messico, la Colombia e l’Equador: col suo talento, abilità e destrezza vocale ma soprattutto col suo grande amore per Gesù e per il Vangelo ha fatto vivere al pubblico sempre grandi emozioni e il desiderio di cercare il Signore. Il suo obiettivo, la sua visione rimane sempre e comunque l’Europa. Ha tenuto concerti a Cipro, Germania, Polonia, Danimarca e Svizzera (dove spesso canta come ospite nel coro nazionale “Awake”).
Nel 2001 ha partecipato al “Copenhagen Gospel Festival” in Danimarca e al “Polish Gospel Festival” in Polonia. Inoltre vanta numerose partecipazioni come vocalist in album di artisti famosi.
In Italia ha partecipato a tre edizioni del “Gospel Jubilee Festival”(Torino, 2001/2002/2003) e dell’ ”Anno Domini Multifestival”(Oropa-BI-, 2002/2003/2005), nonché a tre edizioni del “Milano Gospel Festival”(2002/2003/2004), all’ ”International Christian Music Festival” di Padova (2002/2003), al “Varese Gospel Festival”(2003/2004) e al “Festival Internazionale di Artisti Cristiani” di Caposele (AV-2003), e a quello di Lancusi (SA-2005). Nel 2004 ha partecipato assieme alla sua band al "Premio Festival di Conversano" (BA).
E’ stato ospite del programma “Cristianità” su RAI International (2003).
Attualmente sta lavorando tra Londra e Stati Uniti, nella realizzazione del suo nuovo album di cui si prevede la pubblicazione entro la primavera del 2007.
