Ivy Sky

About Me

Ivy Sky began in an attic. Armed with keyboards, keystations and a mac...Beth Brown, formerly of bands Pinkwood Flat, Lesthan Stellar & DayStar, started experimenting and the world of Ivy Sky was born. Heavily influenced by the likes of Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Beth Orton, Lisa Germano, Cat Power, Elliott Smith and Nick Drake, Ivy Sky offers a confessional and intimate glimpse into a haunting and ethereal world of memorable melodies, poppy hooks and hints of transformational messaging. Though focusing on tv/film opportunities, Ivy Sky can occasionally be seen in cozy listening room venues...sometimes playing barebone versions of her tunes...sometimes joined by friends.
"Grit & Beauty"
"The melodies of Ivy Sky float amongst seductive keyboards, amazing you that voice and key can produce such a full sound...lyrically weaving the grit and beauty of life...make sure you have the time to sit and listen. Listeners in Charlotte have the privilege of witnessing Ivy Sky's re-emergence onto the music scene...and await her forthcoming EP!"
