My name is Percy. I'm not good at writing things in this block. I don't really know anything that is really important for one person to know about me. Let's see my, mother was addicted to drugs and it led her down the wrong path. Growing up I lived in more places than I can count. After high school I joined the Army. I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and I hate it here. I like making jokes; those of you who know me, know that I like making jokes. I did a short stand up in high school and tried to be the funny guy for a little while. My humor is very sarcastic, often times people think that I am rude or cruel. It's just me, I like making light of any situations that are usually odd or difficult. I am addicted to politics. I can't get enough. Each election cycle I think that I refine my views as an American. Since I've been deployed I changed my views on many issues. Usually I blindly followed the Democrats into whatever issues they sought, but now I educated myself. While I still support the Dems, I am more critical of the positions they have. I used to be a Hill-fan. I think it's because she is an awesome woman and had the experience to change the country back to the Clinton Administration in the 1990s. It still sounds good considering the debacle that we live in right now, but Hillary alone cannot change America. Her views are too moderate. This might sound like I finally accepted Senator Obama, but that quite the contrary. Obama has accepted Hillary's point of view on many issues. He moved his camp into the right. He has abandoned his issues to settle for "votes", but I guess the Dems haven't realized that it didn't work with Walter Mondale in 1984. Michael Dukakis tried to seem like he was a centrist, but it blew up in his face in 1988. Bill Clinton won in 1992, not because people were finally attracted to a liberal agenda (which he didn't run on), but because Ross Perot took 19% of the votes away from H.W. Bush. Al Gore failed at a centrist approach in 2000. John Kerry was the champion of the centrist movement, almost as much as Joe "the smock" Lieberman. Barack Obama, if he doesn't change his current stance will go down that road. In my headline is my blog. I encourage everyone to check it out. I haven't put too much stuff on it yet, but it's a start.
