Clayton James was born on May 14, 1994 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He has always been a very happy child not letting much of anything bother him. That even temper is just what it takes when learning to master the guitar. With lots of practice he has become one of the most talented young musicians today. He is just starting out as this is the career path he has chosen. He just cut his first CD....Blues: Old School. The songs on this CD include: High Heeled Sneakers written by Tommy Tucker; Stormy Monday written by T-Bone Walker; Unchain My Heart written by Bobby Sharp & made famous by Ray Charles; A Texas Shuffle written by Clayton James; Funky Monkey written by Clayton James & Grandpa; Bad Blues written by Clayton James, Grandpa, & C. Wallace. He is playing on this CD with the Southbound Band from Ardmore, OK. His Grandpa is the lead guitarist & lead singer for the band. He has been so very gracious to let Clayton play with him whenever it's possible. Having been in the music business for well over 50 years, he knows talent when he hears it...and he heard it one day in Clayton. He took him under his wing and after just one day of lessons, he had taught Clayton to play Folsom Prison Blues. The rest as they say is history. Clayton has only been playing guitar for about 2 years, but has almost mastered the Blues style. He picks up great guitar licks that sound like Jimi & Stevie so quickly! At only 14, this young man is an up & coming star.....
