About Me
mR rEALITY a 3 piece acoustic band (Gordon Brown, guitar,vocals/ Peter Scherer, vocals/ Rob Tanico, bass, vocals) from Long Branch, NJ after only 6 months together, created such a buzz with their catchy 3-part harmony songs, were signed to a major label record deal with SBK/EMI in 1991.
Their self titled LP was released on August 11, 1992 and was produced by Danny Korchmar (Don Henley's "End of the Innocence", Billy Joel's "River of Dreams"). For live shows Dave Halpern was added on drums, and percussion. After touring endlessly from 1992-1994 with Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, The Samples, Jeffrey Gaines, Bon Jovi, and doing shows with Bob Dylan, Dave Mathews, Phish, Foreigner, Rusted Root, The Allman Brothers, and many many others, the band decided to take a break, eventually leading to a break up in 1994. But this was not the end of Peter, Rob, and Gordon singing together. To fast forward a few years hit Samhill on our top friends.
