I have long hair - have for a long time - big whoop. Maybe I'll cut it if the mood strikes me. It may seem out-of-style for some but I like having it. I detest cigarette smoke. I don't smoke - never have and don't intend on starting. I don't have a "bitch" or an "old lady". I'm not a fan of reffering to one's "girlfriend" or "wife" as a "bitch" or "old lady" - seems rather degrading. If you couldn't already tell ...I'm well versed in sarcasm. It's a second language to me. I've never been married although highly likely in the future. I love kids. I hold the perverbeal 9-5 job five days a week as well as teach guitar on the weekends. My friends, family, work and music are what's most important to me. MySpace isn't the forum for me to discuss my deepest personal feelings, thoughts and beliefs (by choice) so I will elaborate on other interests here ...primarily music. Big surpirise - I love music. Not only listening to music but writing, creating and recording. Music is my life, simply put. I started playing guitar in 1978 (fourth grade) because I wanted to be just like Ace Frehley from KISS. Hell - I wanted to be Ace! I took 3 years of lessons and decided that what my teacher was teaching me wasn't what I wanted to learn (KISS songs) so I lost interest in lessons. Shortly thereafter, I had no option but to learn to learn music by ear. So, I did. I graduated from high school in 1987 and used my graduation money to buy my first "nice" guitar. From 1988 through 2004 I played guitar for several bands and performed in front of thousands of people. Performing live is an incredible rush and "ego-booster" - just what a twenty-something year old wants. Music has the ability to open doors to new and exciting experiences. I soon learned that being a memeber of a band takes more than just being able to play your instrument. "Luck" and "who you know" are major factors in being successful in the all facets of business ...moreso than I ever thought. Each band member has different adjendas and goals that aren't always in line with that of the other members. After years of performing, I put playing in a band on hiatus for about 4 years - unitl recently. I formed a new band and am excited about the possibilities. Yet, as with any project, problems do arise. Nature of the beast. Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I'll always give it my best shot. As mentioned previously, I work as a sales rep. for a millwork distribution company and teach guitar on the weekends so my "free" time is extremely dynamo! And that's about it.
Fun Facts: 1.) I love attending concerts but I prefer to be the one on the stage. 2.) I once took a crash-course in brain surgery ...and passed with flying colors. 3.) I have a serious aversion to bad drivers.> 4.) I believe that laughter IS the best medicine. 5.) I like fluffy kittens ...with ketsup. 6.) I believe in mind over matter.
7.) I have a short memory span ...I think. 8.) I believe that worrying is the biggest waste of time. 9.) I believe that there is someone for everyone in this world. 10.) I've been told that I have the heart of a child ...and I do - in a jar on my desk. (Thanks S.K.) 11.) I find it very difficult to go a day without playing guitar. It can be a great stress reliever ...among other things. 12.) I believe that one's true church is within one's own mind. 13.) I s sss ssome sometimes sss stutter. 14.) I do not believe someone that says they haven't any regrets. 15.) I DO NOT like catfish with warm milk. 16.) I love practical jokes. I love the unexpected. 17.) I am fluent in "sarcasm". 18.) I ponder questions like... "if olive oil is derived from olives ...what is baby oil derived from"? It kind of creeps me out a bit. 19.) I constantly wonder if anyone knows who "Sammi Curr" and "Ned Ryerson" are ...anyone? 20.) I believe that animals have rights - a right to taste delicious! 21.) Favorite flavor of ice-cream is boneless chocolate. Ice-cream has no bones! 22.) My 3 feared animals: Venemous ducks, horned dolphins, and boneless puppies! 23.) And finally ...I do love animals; especially dogs. Personally, I believe that Newfoundlands rule (see my pictures of Tasha & Hogan)!
