1.) "The Air-Conditioned Nightmare" by Henry Miller (written in 1945 Miller gives a perfect outlook about the living in big, urban cities. Now, in 2007 it seems to me, that he couldn..t imagine in his wildest nightmares that things became even worser than he thought! 2.) Everything from HUBERT SELBY-To me one of the most underrated writers of the century. His books (and characters) will touch you deep in your heart. Words like bullets. Believe me, go get them, before they will be burnt (again) 3.) "The metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka. A bit spooky, sometimes scary but also funny. If you have ever walked up from the big church in Prague through the small alley down to the Moldau in the middle of the night, you know what I mean. 4.) "Happy Death" by Albert Camus. I haven..t read all the books by him,but this is defenetly a must,if you are into mellow, melancholic kinda literature. If you have read the book you know 99% of me:-) 5.) "Dialektik der Aufklärung" by Theodor W.Adorno-Pretty hard to read, but most of his stuff makes perfect sense-Know your enemy, that..s what I gotta say
Eckhart Tolle - Everybody should read "The power of now"!
