My vocals have been described as rich and soulful. I sing from the heart, celebrating & contemplating life. Exploring different music genres is important to me- ranging from raw acoustic stuff influenced by jazz & soul to upbeat funk covers to more recent vocals on r&b beats & I have future plans for drum&bass/electro tunes.I grew up just outside London and was trained in classical piano. I’ve always been involved with music – whether it’s performing, singing solo stuff at open mic nights & friends’ weddings, singing in gospel choirs, with bands, DJs & even an orchestra. It started with a love for anything jazz, soul, funk or gospel and later I got into jungle, garage, hip hop, drum&bass.Song writing started in my late teens, after I had picked up the basics of acoustic guitar. Around the same time I joined a music based charity near Bristol for 2 years, training in vocals and teaching young people in vocal performance.Various collaborations over the past few years have been inspiring. I’ve recorded with a number of different producers - 3 of whose tunes I’ve either featured on or co-written. From drum&bass, to r&b to nu-jazz - I want to keep exploring & creating & letting something of my soul spill out!Having moved back South, I co-ordinated music training courses for young people in East London for the charity ‘rhythm of life’ (www.rhythmoflifeuk.org.) I am currently working with young people in London helping run courses and workshops in the arts & media as well as music.Continuing to get young people inspired and trained in music is a passion of mine. If we’re born with gifts then we should use them hey?!Recently I've worked with a number of different musicians and producers. My dream is to set up a collective.
