Hi, my name is Markus Schmidt, I am a Paris based composer, producing mostly video games soundtracks -- as well as music for other medias such as film, television, trailers and music libraries.My credits include over 30 video game titles, such as Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (Midway), The Settlers 6 (Ubisoft) and Gothic 3 (JoWooD). I have contibuated to over 20 music library CDs (Groovers Music Library, Nightingale Music or Riptide Music) as well as several themes for television, such as the Chronicals of Narnia's TV spot theme (Buena Vista Games) and Ridley Scott's The Company TV trailer.I have the pleasure to be a member of Dynamedion, one of Europe's leading audio production studio for video games. Soundtracks on which I have been working have been rewarded 4 years successively with the Best Game Soundtrack of the year Award at the Game Developpers Awards (Deutscher Entwicklerpreis) in Germany -- and in 2008 with the Drakensang score (The Black Eye), signed by Tilman Sillesc and myself.My work includes live orchestra productions (with Dynamedion), live played instruments (mostly played by myself, such as the violin, serveral ethnical percussions and flutes, guitares, bass, piano, harmonium, etc.) mixed with computer based productions, as well as coustumed electronic sounddesign and experimental noises.I am always happy to meet new people, so don't hesitate to drop me a line!Kind regards,Markus Schmidt.Click Here For More
