About Me
Within a few short years, Danny Soul has created a name for himself in the Chicago Dance music scene, playing at some of Chicago's top night clubs, such as, Spybar, Zentra, and Privilege. Danny's music career came about 4 years ago while following the progressive movement at the time. A quick turn came about after hearing what funky, filtered, and peak hour electro house had to offer, turning his head and career in a totally different direction. Danny's biggest inspirations consist of the legendary Bad Boy Bill, Mixin Marc, Robbie Rivera, and Steve Smooth, just to name a few.
In the ending months of 2005, Danny joined the Chicago based record label, Distorted Muzik. With this move, Danny's knowledge of music production will be put to good use. "I look to start producing my own tracks and furthering my ability to produce 'that sound' that makes the dance floor go crazy. I have tons of ideas running around in my head; the first step is to lay it out, and then beat it down," says Danny. Currently attending Columbia College of Chicago, for a major in Studio Engineering, keeps him highly motivated and his ears wide open to new music and new sounds daily.
Danny came in third place at the 2006 Winter Music Conference Spin Off this year in Miami, Florida. Definitely keep your eyes and ears open, there are many big things to come from Danny Soul.
