I am what I am

About Me

Where do I start... My life has changed in the last 7 months. I used to wake up every morning and spend 8 hours at a job I hated. Picked my daughter up from daycare and spent the last remaining hours of the day with her until she went to sleep (and repeat it all over the next day.) I no longer have that job!!! I was able to leave Alaska for a few months and visit family & friends. My daughter and I are closer then we've ever been. My father passed away in February, which was a surprise. We weren't close but it still hurt. I will always remember these last few months for I've watched my daughter grow from a baby into a little girl. I will hold these memories close forever. Even though it's been nice to be a stay-at-home Mom for awhile, I also realize that it's not cut out for every mother. Now I need to decide, where do I go from here? Part of me wants to go back to school and get another degree and the other part is ready to find a job and work on making it into a career. I've been in this spot many times before and it's never easy for me. Hopefully I'll figure it out soon.

My Interests

Cleaning my house on the weekend. Hiking up a mountain. Riding my bike. Checking out live music (not as much as I used to since baby arrived.) Taking a nap with my daughter in the lazyboy (she's out grown this but I still enjoyed it) Laying in bed reading a book. Going on vacation (Oct & Nov in AK are the best time to get away.) Watching a new movie. Going for a drive on a sunny day. Exploring a new place. Talking to my Mom on the phone. Did I mention Compulsive Shopper!!!! Credit cards are my enemy. Watching my baby grow and develop into a beautiful person.
