A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic - Joseph Stalin

About Me

"The mechanical order, or mega-machine...is an entire psycho-socioeconomic system that includes all the machines in our midst; all the organizations and methods that make those machines possible ; those of us that inhabit this technological construct; the ways in which we are socialized and require to participate in the system; and the ways we think, perceive, and feel as we attempt to survive within it." - Lewis Mumford
"Science is founded on the conviction that experience, effort, and reason are valid. Magic: on the belief hope cannot fail, nor desire deceive. The theories of knowledge are dictated by logic. Those of magic: by the association of ideas under the influence of desire." - Bronislaw Malinowski
"When I work, I forget Pettersson of whom I am sincerely tired. But there, inside my ribs, is a square, the heart's red square, where I meet mankind, where everybody always lives and where everybody is one." - Allan Pettersson

If I were a Dead Russian Composer, I would be Igor Stravinsky.

Known as a true son of the new 20th Century, my music started out melodic and folky but slowly got more dissonant and bizzare as I aged. I am a traveler and a neat freak, and very much hated those rotten eggs thrown at me after the premiere of "The Rite of Spring."

Who would you be? Dead Russian Composer Personality Test

The smell reminded him of the outside yet there is no sign of earth seeping through the walls. From his vantage point he cannot see the colour of the painted concrete, but he knows it is the colour of...

This time, some time 1980s.

Sinking into the pea green beanbag he adjusts his baseball cap. He can hear the little beads within the "pleather" shell fall quickly--slowing to a stop. Life in a basement can be musty, but having it...

Blood, Bruises, and Zhivago

I am so fahreakin' sick of work. In the past two weeks I have wrestled with two people, had a car door repeatedly slammed into my body while being dragged through a parking lot, been punched in the fa...
