born joseph K. rose, dj supreme stated turning the tables in 1989. professing he fell in love with music when he first saw DJ the godfather perform. supreme states "He blew my mind," as he wactched in amazement in how he controlled the crowd with the music. while visting a friend, when in the fifth grade, supreme first touched the turn tables and from that time on was addicted to the craft. from the age 17-19, supreme performed in small social establishments around his home town in hamlet, north carolina. supreme found it difficult to get big gigs because of his DJ Style.Credited with being one of the only DJ's in his area that spin Gangster Rap, true Hip Hop, and his slick talking style,Supreme met with some resistance from some establishments that would not allow "that type of music".It took 3 yrears of putting in the grind and word that he was bringing in the crowds, before the large clubs in north and south Carolina, clubs like: hypnotic, Chocolate City,Level 3,and Emerald City.Supreme has showcased his talent, winning every DJ battle he has ever entered and performing with talents like: PD Pablo, Sunshine Anderson,Ying Yang Twins, Fat Joe and early Hip Hop artist Kwanme. Supreme has been a member of production groups, Carolina kings and the Cackalack Pros and now has his own Record Company Big Ink Entertainment.Supreme has worked with fellow DJ's, Kid Capri, Grand Master Flash, Ron G, and DJ premier from Gangstar. Supreme's only regrets that he will never be able to meet Jam Master Jay, whom he has idolized since he fell in love with music
