About Me

The Anarchist's Dream is a futuristic Science Fiction story, based upon anarchist philosophy.
Introduction:
AD 2050
Wisdom brought an end to certain forms of scientific investigation. No longer did people interfere with the lives of others for the sake of their own knowledge.
Medicine also changed, the once ‘witchery’ cures accepted without scientific proof, and the true spiritual holistic natures of both healing and death were understood by all.
Still many cultures were scorned as retarded, in the same way as the apes of Darwin’s generation had been. Yet even the theories of Darwin that had shaped the last century, stood only as reminders of the errors of judgment possible within educational spheres. If the human mind had been selected it was for its simplicity as well as its intelligence, for its awareness of both itself and others; and most importantly for its individuality and variation.
Mind had prevailed, the animal sentience, once respected had liberated humans from the gross sufferings caused by their irreverence.
Spinoza was not the first to realize that although it is possible for evil to exist, the choice of an evil act lay within the individual. The choice was clearly ours, and evil, the unnecessary errors in our ways, was loosing the battle in an exemplary fashion.................© - 2002 Joanne Mitchinson VN BA(Hons)
