I am a Slovak university student in whelchair who moved from Slovakia to Prague, the Czech republic, more than 5 years ago to live on my own. I am not physically able to take care of myself but I live by myself. This is the miracle of my life, I guess. The state welfare system is good for nothing and never helped me much. That is why I try to survive as I can - I am looking for voluntaries who come to take care of me, I'm arranging the schedule for their visit at mine every day and teach them to do everything connected with this kind of work (as they usually never worked as personal assistants before), including to understand the principles of humanity, anti-discrimination, feminism and, last but not least, personal assistance.
Gender studies is my branch of study which gave me an answer to all important questions of my life - that's why I love it now and forever. For me, gender is a way of solving both the crucial problems of the world and our personal problems.
So the most important thing in my life is to suppress all kinds of discrimination (on basis of sex, gender, race, nationality, etnincity, sexual orientation, religion, physical dis/advantage and so on), and to suppress any kinds of normativity, stereotypization and traditions which discriminate or make strong pressures on free decisions of people.
