Dani grew loving everything that had to do with Art, Music and Entertainment. School wasn’t the most interesting, so he quickly took to his own make believe worlds. Being the youngest child he was used to hand me downs in every aspect, even in Music. He grew up listening to everything his siblings and parents would listen to, from Elvis, KISS, and the Beatles to Vicente Fernandez, Los Tigres Del Norte, Grandmaster Flash and more.
While other kids had dreams of being Firemen, Dani wanted to set the world on fire! At age 4 his brothers would put on the KISS Alive! 8-track tape, paint themselves up and perform as KISS for the entire family. Since those days Dani knew all he wanted to become was a Rock Star! At age 12, Dani received his first guitar. He joined his first band Ritmo Latino by age 16. He would play in the toughest Mexican Cantinas while still attending high school and still made it to see graduation in 1994. Dani worked for the next 4 years, developing himself into a better musician, songwriter and lead vocalist.
In 1998, He moved to Los Angeles and left his family and anything he knew of a humble life behind. He struggled for 4 more years to find himself and what he truly wanted out of His music, His career and His life.
After several auditions and open jams that were leading nowhere, Dani decided to form his own band. By combining the sound & attitude of American Rock n' Roll, and the lyrics and flavor of the Spanish music he'd played for many years, He came up with the right combination for a new sound in the Spanish Rock scene. By this time, Spanish Rock had been gaining much response, but to Dani it always sounded like something was missing. "I remember going to Mexico City and seeing all the kids there wearing black T Shirts of bands from the United States, like KISS, Metallica, AC/DC, GnR, and Pantera. He thought to himself, something in Spanish Rock is missing…
In 2002 MATADOR was born. In 2003 Luv Wrote, Recorded & Produced their first full length LP. He was chosen that same year as 1 of the Top 10 Latin Songwriters for ASCAP Latino. Since then MATADOR has played many top venues and pushed the envelope in the hopes that one day it’ll all pay off.
2005 became a year in which Dani focused a lot more on his personal life, than on music. He looked to the future and began to re-invent himself Mind, Body & Soul, and plant himself fully in the Los Angeles Community. Throughout the past few years Dani began co-writing and working on different projects with friends and fellow musicians. In 2006 He started 2 KISS tribute bands in the Hollywood area “KISS My ASS†and “KISS Unplugged†and still finds time to play shows with MATADOR along the way.
2008 had been full of writing/recording in his home studio and overcoming some of the toughest times in his life. He recently starred in a short independent film, which his brother Joey Vargas directed, and music from MATADOR is to be on the soundtrack for the film.
2009 after surviving a major car accident and 2 fractures to his left hand, Dani pressed on by joining the ranks of some of the top KISS tribute performers in the business and has every intention on bringing the world what they've heard, known and come to expect from the Hottest Band in The Land! HEROES is the next step in his career. HEROES is his next challenge to the finish, and HEROES is the future of what Dani Luv will bring to a world of KISS fans everywhere!
Today, Luv is looking forward and enjoying every minute of life. He's lived a life most Rock Stars can only dream of, without all the notoriety. Those who truly know him best, can honestly say that he is The one guy that could go all night, pull out all stops, and stop at nothing to be the life of the party. And if you ask him, He'd probably laugh and say that it's all part of God's plan and His Journey is just Beginning...
Currently Dani Luv is also working on a Solo Album, which we can’t say too much of, but keep in mind that it’s going to be something worth tuning in for...
