Maybe we look young, because our age range is from 13 to 16 years, but we are very experienced musicians. So far we had a number of concerts, but we are extremely proud of two concerts we had on one of the biggest musical festivals in Europe – EXIT. We are Roma and we managed to implement traditional Roma sound which includes strong Arabic musical influences mixed with Serbian, traditional, brass sound. We grew up in Germany, so you will notice lot of MTV influence. However , we did not forget our roots and we found a way to fight prejudices.We are part of R Point, www.rpoint.org.uk, a British organization which has created music workshops in Serbia to give a voice to young Roma through their concerts, cultural events, CDs, music videos, films. With a strong involvement in education (supplementary school for Roma children, vocational trainings, various educational programs) R Point is fighting the prejudice against young Roma by showcasing their talents, their hard work and their desire to integrate society while staying proud of their rich culture. ____________________________________________________________
