About Me

hmm.. travel * Psychology * cognitive dissonance * new perspective and insight * conviction * preventative medicine and sustainable lifestyle * renewable/sustainable sources of energy and responsible treatment of our land and those who work on it, for these are the cures for the disease of domination and abuse, manifested through our addictions to oil, and our societies' obsession with consumption. * Farming * We live in a society who can afford to have psychological issues...in other parts of the world, people are just ostracized or killed if they're different. Our culture needs to get back to basics and take care of our own before worrying about the bling bling and the flashy objects idolized by all Americans, to one degree or another. The American Dream has become addiction: to substances, to consumption, to work, to ourselves...to fucking drama in others people's lives instead of actually focusing on our own business: taking...REALLY taking care of ourselves and our fellow earthlings!* Music * Art * inspiration * drawing * reading * Documentaries * substantive movies * supporting the Medicinal Marijuana Campaign * de-criminalization of Hemp (Hemp and Marijuana are not the same thing; when Marijuana was made illegal, Hemp became prosecuted just because it looked like marijuana, but it lacks the high-inducing element of marijuana: Tetrahydrocannibonal [THC])The following clip is about Hemp and Marijuana, but I found most of it to be about the non-psychoactive uses (I apologize in advance for the cheese factor...it was early 90's, it looks like) Part 1: ..* Journaling * reflection * Am I merely fixated on the outcome, or the journey there....or, (ideally) the entire damn experience! * Existentialism * Taoism * Buddhism * Philosophy in general * friends * cups of coffee in the afternoon * wine * microbreweries * food * these different modes of thought via religion, philosophy, other people in your life, are only good for helping you better yourself and others around you. If they don't help you become a more loving, respectful, caring individual, then whatever little good is in them needs to be acknowledged, but they themselves need to be given up, let go to experience, and to the results of their own negativity and self-destructive fixations. (Karma) So, there are some things about me. It's what I've found to make the most sense for me so far, but I always want it to be a work in progress, ever striving to further transcend what I've accepted as good for right now. Cycles of rest and dormancy...cuccoons, followed by growth, adaptation, evolution. Life and personal choice are our gift and privelege.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anybody who's genuinely interested in the betterment of themselves and others. Honestly, anyone who actually gives a shit about life and helping others get by a little easier.
