Sound engineer and producer, Pierre Bianchi started his carreer as a recording assistant at Plus XXX studios in Paris.
His abilities rapidly gained him access to the biggest parisian recording studios as a session engineer.
Always hungry for new experiences, he turns his interest towards live sound. In 1995, he's touring USA and Canada with Papa Wemba. From this time, he's been touring the world mostly with internationally known artists from very different musical horizons: Jazz, World, Pop, Rythm n'Blues, Rap, Metal.
His work, live or in the studio, encompasses collaboration with the following artists: Youssou N'Dour, Papa Wemba,Angélique Kidjo, Axelle Red, Sir Yehudi Menhuin , Natalie Dessay, David Linx , Diederik Wissels, Fay Claassen, Maria Pia de Vito, Gianmari Testa ,Alpha Blondy, Salif Keita, Ray Lema, Sidji Moon, Klaus Blasquiz, Keren Ann, Stéphane Huchard, Romane, Stochelo Rosenberg, Didier Lockwood, Kuhn/Humair/Jenny Clark/Portal Quartet, Max Doppler, Elisabeth Kontomanou, Murray Head, Bill Deraime, Yuri Buenaventura, , Alliance Ethnique, Bisso na Bisso, Passi, Diams, RCFA, Kmel, Mangu, Alfredo Arrias, Catherine Ringer, Nicolas Piovanni, Richard Clayderman, Captain Mercier, Ravi Prasad, Zaab, Marine Bercot, Le Big Band Ornicar ...
His best souvenirs? A Womad concert at San Marco Plazza in Venice Italy with Papa Wemba where he met Peter Gabriel for the first time, an Amnesty International concert at Paris Bercy in 1998 with Youssou N'Dour and Peter Gabriel, another show in Sardinia in 2002 with Papa Wemba at Peter Gabriel's wedding (him again!).
As you may have already noticed, Pierre is a big fan of PG...
In 2003, he sets up "Planete Nomade", a mobile recording studio, a light structure, intended for live concerts recording (Papa Wemba 's DVD "New Morning") that gives him the opportunity to record and mix his own productions as well as other artists' far from the "regular studios" hassle.
Pierre is always in quest for recording in unusual places, by the countyside, on top of a mountain, on a desert island (well, not that desert!). That's how he records and mixes Sidji Moon's "Nomade" album, Stéphane Huchard's "Bouchabouches", Elliott the 1rst self titled record....
He's currently produce " Bouns " ( www.myspace.com/bounstephanierenouvin) forthcoming CD...
